The Slovak ISMN Agency is located at the Slovak National Library in Martin and forms a part of the Acquisitions Department. It was established in 2000 and has been operating since April 2008. According to both the Library Act and the Legal Deposit Law, the Slovak National Library is responsible for registering music publications.
