The Slovenian ISMN Agency was established in February 1999, and its administration has been carried out by the staff of the National and University Library in Ljubljana.

The ISMN Users' Manual was published and distributed in printed version to the music publishers; the electronic version can be found on the web.

Statistics:

Approximately 60% of the music publishers active on the market today are using ISMNs. ISMNs are usually allocated at the same time as publications are catalogued in advance (CIP).
